Rules
By submitting your entry form you are agreeing to abide by these rules
All Classes
§ A1 Helmet is compulsory
§ A2 Lights are compulsory. Reflective vest and/or ankle
bands are compulsory
§ A3 You must attend bike check and sign-on a minimum
of 1 hour before your start time
§ A4 At sign-on, you will be required to sign a
statement that releases the organisers of this event of any liability or
responsibility of your participation
§ A5 Only riders finishing within the max times
(Ultra and Relay=24 hours, Randonneur=30 hours) will be designated a "finisher"
§ A6 If a rider or team abandons, he/she must inform
an official (details at sign on)
§ A7 Riders who abandon are responsible for their own
transport back to the start or finish
§ A8 No refunds for no shows. Cancelling 72 hours before the start = 50%
refund.
§ A9 You will obey public traffic rules and the
Sth-Gbg rules. Disqualification or time penalties will be issued if broken
Ultra Class
§ U1 You must have a service
vehicle. This vehicle should be positioned immediately behind you when moving on
the road
§ U2 Your service vehicle must not obstruct
other traffic (see
also § U3)
§ U3 Your service vehicle should stay with you at all
times. However, during daylight hours the vehicle may take breaks. These
breaks should be kept as short as possible and may never last for more than 30
min.
§ U4 During
the night the service vehicle must never leave the rider. The rider may not
continue riding and has to stop if the service vehicle is not following
immediately behind
§ U5 You must not receive
any assistance from anyone
except your own service vehicle or ride officials
§ U6 You must not hold on to your service vehicle,
even when passing food or drink
§ U7 Your service vehicle should be positioned behind
you at all other times
§ U8 During
the day you must not ride closer than 25 meters from
another rider or vehicle unless you are intending to go past and succeeding in doing
so
§ U8 During
the night you must not ride closer than 100 meters from
another rider or vehicle unless you are intending to go past and succeeding in
doing so
Randonneur Class
§ R1 You must not ride behind an ultra rider or his/her service vehicle
§ R2 No
assistance whatsoever is allowed, except from assistance given by race officials
or other randonneurs ("other randonneurs" must not have abandoned or been
disqualified)
§ R3 Both members of a 2 person team must arrive
together at all controls for the team to be deemed an official finisher
§ R4 Minimum 3 members of a 4 person team must arrive
together at all controls for the team to be deemed an official finisher
