(Curtiss-Wright) announced that it has received the Entergy Premier Vendor Award for Continuous Improvement in recognition of its successful implementation of condition monitoring software across Entergy Corporation’s nuclear power fleet ().
Entergy Nuclear’s Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D) Center collects and analyzes data from the fleet’s five nuclear units to enhance performance, efficiency and reliability. It selected Curtiss-Wright’s Fleet Asset Management and Optimization Solutions (FAMOS) condition monitoring software to eliminate inefficiencies, improve worker utilization and streamline plant operations.
“Curtiss-Wright is proud to have collaborated with Entergy on this project, and we are honored to be recognized for our delivery of an advanced condition monitoring solution that is flexible, scalable and reliable,” said Kurt Mitchell, vice president and general manager of Curtiss-Wright’s Nuclear and Valves divisions.
After a two-phased implementation process, the M&D team is now able to automate monitoring and detection of problems, access real-time equipment data and optimize overall plant performance with the FAMOS software — resulting in reduced costs and increased operational efficiency.
