TC Energy was notified of a fire in its Columbia Gas Transmission Pipeline along Interstate 81 in rural, western Virginia on July 25. The company said the fire was caused by a pressure drop in a transmission line. As a precaution, the company shut down the pipeline. The fire was quickly extinguished, and the company is working with local authorities to conduct an investigation.
